From my earliest days caring for my own son, I have always valued a nurturing and kind way of caring for infants, as well as being well-informed and educated when caring for both infants and their families. This led me on a path to becoming an early-childhood teacher, then a nanny, and finally to my current role as a newborn care specialist and postpartum doula.
I find it deeply rewarding to care for families and share this precious time immediately after birth with them. It's a great privilege to be able to both do something I love and serve my community this way. I continue to learn from ongoing training, from my fellow doulas, and from the families I serve. My approach will always center kindness, compassion, and well-informed care and choices.
In my free time, I cherish spending time with my family, love to swim, and enjoy pursuing social justice causes in our community.

"We recommend Sheryl without any hesitation. She cared for our son, several times a week overnight from January through March, when he was 1-4 months old, and has provided day time care for him multiple times since then as well. We have always had complete confidence in the care Sheryl provides, and her love for the job (and our son!) is obvious. She was endlessly patient while soothing our little one during his witching hours before bedtime, never fazed by his more-than-average amount of reflux, and could always be found reading and singing to him. Sheryl is very communicative, dependable, warm, and kind. This is our first child and the initial few months were very challenging for us. Sheryl’s help during this time was crucial, and simply getting to know her will always remain a highlight of these early days of new parenthood. Anyone she works with would be lucky to have her!" - Postpartum Client 2022
