Sarah Holloway

Hi, my name is Sarah!

I am a passionate and enthusiastic birth and postpartum doula. I found the doula world in the early 2000s while I was pregnant with my daughter. During that time, I found that there were so many negative stories around birth and postpartum care for lots of families. But I feel that Doulas have ultimately helped change that narrative in such a profound way.

My calm and supportive birthing experience has prompted my passion to support others. I strive to help families create and achieve a comfortable and safe birth plan for one of the most rewarding experiences of their lives.

My educational journey has enriched my experiences as a doula and taught me many new techniques such as, pain management through acupressure, breast/chest-feeding, babywearing, and more.

I am an advocate for mother and baby before, during, and after providing valuable insights that support and educate. When I’m not focusing on my Doula career I enjoy hiking, snowboarding, golfing, and most of all traveling and spending time with family.

Read what these families have to say about their experience with our lovely doulas.

"Sarah provided us with inexhaustible care after we had our twins. She was so knowledgeable and compassionate with our girls and gave me the much needed patience and care I needed. She helped our family find its rhythm with her calm and nurturing demeanor. I’d highly recommend her to any family, especially with twins looking for a postpartum doula. We love Sarah!" - Postpartum Family

“My husband and I are first-time parents and we are so grateful we found Sarah! We interviewed several other doulas before we met Sarah and as soon as we spoke with her we knew she was the one! She is so positive, which is what drew us to her in the first place. Anytime we ran into any medical issues or had to make certain decisions, she was there to talk through it with us and give us some perspective. If she wasn’t sure about something from a medical perspective, she has people she can reach out to to give us a second informal opinion. She is so well-connected…she has so many amazing resources for both prenatal and postnatal support. She is very responsive and plugged in, so if you need her for something, she is really good about making herself available. Overall we just felt like Sarah helped us navigate the experience of being first-time parents…something we definitely needed. We had a partner in Sarah and we felt like she gave us that extra support throughout our entire pregnancy! We are just so grateful we found her and that we were able to share this experience with her. Sarah has a friend in us for life!” - Birth and Postpartum Family

“Sarah was a wealth of knowledge and an incredible comfort during a difficult time of transition for our family, when we welcomed our second child in two years. She met with us before of the arrival of the baby to gauge our needs and ensure we were a good match. She provided useful advice on arranging our home to prepare for the new baby and streamline our daily routine. During the early postpartum weeks, she helped take care of the baby to allow me some time with my son, as he adjusted to his new role of big brother and helped me figure out how to juggle the needs of both my children while also focusing on self-care. Sarah provided breastfeeding support, despite many challenges and obstacles along the way. She paid close attention to my wishes and goals and helped me to achieve them. She’s a natural with babies and was completely trustworthy, responsible, and empathetic. We were fortunate to have her assistance and would unequivocally recommend her to other families.” - Postpartum Family
