Postpartum Care

What is a Postpartum Doula?

Designed to nurture and guide the new family through the fourth trimester (the first three months after birth), the Postpartum Doula Package gives parent(s) professional newborn care and support, birth story processing, time to rest/sleep, shower, eat a meal (that your Doula may have made for you), and so much more.

Postpartum Doula Schedules

Commonly, a new family will benefit from the support of a Postpartum Doula for roughly the first three months. Some families don't need help for that long, while others ask for an extension. It depends solely on the individual family and their specific situation. An estimated schedule can be set in advance, but most expecting families do not know what they will be needing in this aspect. Typically a schedule is set after the baby/ies has/have arrived. Scheduling is set up between the Client and their specific Postpartum Doula.
